DeBoe commits to IPFW to continue playing career

Hamilton, MICH. – Recent Hamilton graduate Carter DeBoe has committed to attend Indiana Purdue University of Fort Wayne (IPFW) to continue his playing career.  Deboe, who visited the campus this week, was offered a significant scholarship amount from Mastodon Head Coach Bobby Pierce.

IPFW plays in the Summit League, which has one member school from Michigan (Oakland University).

DeBoe had a stellar career for the Hawkeyes, which was topped off by  first-team All-State recognition this year, that included the career RBI record of 94.  DeBoe also was 9-1 on the mound this season.

“I’m very pleased that Carter is going to end up at IPFW,” Hawkeye skipper Ken DeGood said.  “He has had a great summer while playing for Elite Baseball.  It doesn’t happen very often that a senior gets an offer after he has graduated.  I know Carter will continue to develop the skills that have put him in this position.”
